Bohol Reopens to PH Tourists Starting 15 Dec 2020

As announced on 8 Dec 2020, Bohol reopens to all local tourists starting 15 Dec — just in time for the holiday season. The island province had initially reopened exclusively for MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) events, but will already begin welcoming leisure tourists.

Bohol reopens for tourism: Must-know protocols for travellers

From 15 Dec onwards, Bohol will be open to local tourists of all ages, provided they come from GCQ and MGCQ areas. The following are the requirements and protocols for those planning to visit the province:

  • Hotels, transportation, and tours must be pre-booked with DOT-accredited establishments that have received the Ultimate Bohol Experience (UBE) seal. DIY tours are strictly prohibited.
  • Visitors must provide a negative RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours prior to their departure.
  • Tourists must register online via the My Bohol Tourist Card website. After receiving approval, the website will generate a unique QR code for each tourist. This will be used to enter Bohol’s establishments and destinations.
  • Minimum health standards such as wearing of face shields, face masks, social distancing, and frequent sanitation of hands will be enforced.
