Cheers to a whopping number of 20 holidays and 13 long weekends in the Philippines! Filipinos have all reasons to rejoice this 2015 as well! Feeling the vacation vibe? Plan your getaways now!

Travellers going to Boracay can now get from the port to the boat in just 10 to 15 minutes instead of the usual 30 to 45! The island’s new system combines all fees into one quick payment, so there is no need to line up at different counters.
The long, sweaty wait at the port is finally over. You can arrive in Caticlan, show one ticket and be on the island in minutes. That means more time for the beach and less time stuck in queues!

Aklan Governor Jose Enrique Miraflores said tourists often faced long lines during peak seasons because they had to pay in three separate counters.
“They have to pay in three separate lines, three separate routes that will take more than 10 minutes for them to cross to the island of Boracay, so this has been a challenge to our tourists,” he said.
The P150-million project, called LezzGo Boracay, unites the terminal fee (₱150), environmental fee (₱150 for locals, ₱300 for foreigners), boat fee (₱50) and passenger manifest into a single QR-coded ticket.
“With LezzGo, and through the discussions facilitated by Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco, we are bringing improved efficiency and convenience to Boracay by transforming its main ports into smart ports,” said Eugene Erik C. Lapasaran Lim, president of Topline Hi Tech.

To use it, register online at www.lezzgo.ph, fill in your trip details, pay all the fees at once and get your QR code. Just show it on your phone when you arrive. You can pay in cash, card or e-wallet. Counters are still open for those who prefer in-person service.

A ₱35 convenience fee will be added starting September 1 for upkeep and data protection. By 2026, a mobile app and self-service kiosks will also be available. The system is now fully working in Caticlan and Cagban ports, with partial use in Tabon and Tambisaan. Manual ticketing will be slowly phased out.

For many Filipino travellers, getting to Boracay has always meant budgeting extra time for the port queues. The journey from Caticlan to the island could feel like an endurance test — juggling tickets, receipts, and separate payments under the heat. With this new system, that stressful start is replaced by a smoother, quicker process that frees up more time for the actual holiday.
It’s a small change that makes a big difference. Whether you’re on a barkada trip, a romantic getaway, or a family holiday, arriving in Boracay now feels less like a chore and more like the beginning of the fun. Less waiting means you can catch that first swim before sunset, grab a cold drink sooner, and simply enjoy more of the island you came for! This upgrade isn’t just about faster processing — it’s about making your Boracay experience start the moment you arrive!
