How to Travel Directly from Manila to Sagada Via This Luxury Bus

Itching to have a trip to Sagada in Mountain Province but have some worries on how to get there? You’re not alone. The route from Manila to Sagada is known for being long and winding — but now, it’s much simpler thanks to direct buses that cut out all those transfers.

If you’re driving to Sagada, you’ll likely take the scenic but tricky Halsema Highway — one of the highest highways in the Philippines. It’s now better maintained, but still best reserved for experienced drivers due to sharp curves and sudden fog.

Thank goodness, Coda Lines still operates direct daily trips between Manila and Sagada via Banaue and Bontoc — now the most reliable way to reach the Cordillera highlands. Their terminal remains in Cubao beside HM Transport, with Semi Deluxe and Super Deluxe options available.

As of 2025, fares start at around ₱1,200 for Semi Deluxe and ₱1,500 for Super Deluxe, depending on the season. Both buses have Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, reclining seats, and rest stops — while Super Deluxe units also feature onboard toilets.

Seats fill up fast during weekends and long holidays, so it’s best to book online at codalinesph.com. You can also check schedules, seat layouts, and travel advisories directly on their website.

The route still starts at Coda Lines Cubao Terminal (Monte de Piedad corner Maryland Street, Quezon City) and ends at Sagada Town Hall, right in the heart of town — walking distance to most hostels and cafés.
