If you are heading to Singapore soon, make sure the Singapore Oceanarium is on your list. Once known as the S.E.A. Aquarium, this popular Sentosa attraction has been completely transformed. Reopening on July 23, 2025, it’s now three times bigger, bolder, and packed with exciting, family-friendly experiences.
Whether you’re travelling with kids or exploring with your barkada, this newly transformed spot is shaping up to be one of the best Sentosa attractions yet.

The Oceanarium Singapore isn’t just a simple makeover. It’s now a full-fledged marine institute that brings the wonders of the ocean to life. It features 22 immersive zones that take you on a journey from shallow coastal waters to the mysterious deep sea. What’s more, the exhibits explore different periods, from the prehistoric era to the present day.
One of the highlights is Ocean Wonders, home to one of the world’s largest Kreisel tanks filled with thousands of glowing moon jellies. Over at Singapore’s Coast, you’ll find mangrove-inspired habitats that spotlight local biodiversity. And if you love marine giants, don’t miss the Open Ocean Zone, where reef manta rays and zebra sharks glide past a stunning 36-metre-wide viewing panel, which is a perfect Insta-worthy spot.

Beyond the impressive marine displays, the new Singapore Oceanarium is also a hub for research and education. A brand-new Research and Learning Centre sits right next to the main exhibits. It’s a fully solar-powered, zero-energy building designed to inspire young minds and future ocean stewards. Here, you’ll find laboratories, seminar rooms, collaborative spaces, and even a rooftop event area.
RWS has partnered with top universities like the National University of Singapore and Nanyang Technological University to support marine research, climate resilience, and conservation efforts. It’s a meaningful upgrade that adds depth to the entire visitor experience.
The Singapore Oceanarium is open daily from 10 am to 7 pm. Tickets start at SGD 50 (PHP 2,200) to SGD 55 (₱2,500). Booking through Pelago Singapore earns you KrisFlyer miles, so it’s worth checking for deals ahead of time.
To get there, take the MRT to HarbourFront, ride the Sentosa Express, or opt for a scenic trip via cable car. If you’re driving, use the RWS car park to skip the Sentosa entrance fee. While you're in the area, nearby hotels like Equarius Ocean Suite, Hotel Ora, and Crockfords Tower offer great accommodation options.
