Here’s a little guide to getting around Taiwan for Filipinos travelling to the quaint and charming neighbouring country for the first time.

Filipino pride is about to hit Taiwan! SB19 is officially performing at the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) 2025 this December. Yep, the P-pop kings are joining the 10th anniversary concert, ACON 2025, at Kaohsiung National Stadium on December 7.
They won’t be alone. SB19 will share the stage with K-pop groups Nexz, Xikers, Cravity, KiiiKiii, and KickFlip. If you’ve seen them perform, you know this will be nothing short of fire.
SB19 isn’t new to AAA. Back in 2023, they performed at the 8th Asia Artist Awards in the Philippine Arena, Bulacan, with hits like Crimzone, Bazinga, Mana, and Gento. They even took home AAA Hot Trend and AAA Best Artist (Singer) awards. Expectations are high, and A’TINs everywhere are ready.

Right now, SB19 is on their Simula at Wakas World Tour, recently performing in Singapore and Indonesia. Their Simula at Wakas EP, released in April, kicked off the tour with back-to-back shows at the Philippine Arena in June. In July, they dropped a collab with Sarah Geronimo, Umaaligid. P-pop is really taking over.
The group will also celebrate their 7th debut anniversary this October with a collab with Filipino designer Francis Libiran, called Fast Zone. Music, fashion, and national pride all in one.

For A’TINs, this is a heads-up if you want to catch them live. Start planning your trip to Taiwan early so you don’t miss out. SB19 is representing P-pop and the Philippines on a huge stage, and AAA 2025 is going to be unforgettable.

If you’re thinking of making the trip, booking your stay early is key. Kaohsiung has a mix of hotels, hostels, and Airbnb options, but spots near the Kaohsiung National Stadium will fill up fast. Try searching Airbnb for entire apartments or private rooms within walking distance of the stadium, or consider nearby MRT stations for easy access.
Also, you have to book as soon as concert tickets are announced and double-check cancellation policies. December is a busy season in Taiwan, so having flexible options can save you a headache. Plan ahead, grab your tickets, and you’ll be ready to watch SB19 light up the stage without stressing about accommodation!
