Rolling hills, reef breaks, magical sunsets — there are a few island provinces anywhere that are as holistic and unspoilt as Catanduanes. But airfare to this destination has always been steep, so much so that many Filipinos would rather fly overseas for a beach trip. Thankfully, Catanduanes is a little more accessible than most of us know: The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) now has bus trips from Metro Manila to Catanduanes.

The Legaspi St. Jude Transport Line has Metro Manila to Catanduanes bus trips daily. You can board from EDSA Cubao, Alabang, Turbina, PITX, or Pasay. Destination terminals are either San Andres or Virac.
Regardless of the point of origin and destination, a non-airconditioned trip starts at ₱950. Meanwhile, an airconditioned bus costs ₱1,350 per ticket.
You can book your tickets in advance here. However, to avail of discounts as a student, senior citizen, or PWD, you will need to purchase your tickets from Ticket Booth 1, Counter 6 or 7, on the second floor of PITX.
