There are many reasons why Siargao is, arguably, the most popular surf spot in the Philippines. Its long reef breaks allow consistent waves for most of the year. Cloud 9 in General Luna, in particular, is a tube mecca, producing beautiful barrels perfect for advanced surfers.
Not only does Siargao get strong swells from the Pacific Ocean, but it also has a wonderful lineup of restaurants and cafes. While boutique hotels dot this teardrop-shaped island, you can also find plenty of budget-friendly Airbnb homes near the surf spots.
